Food For Thought 2014

We are about to embark on our 5th year of fundraising for the Centre for Children's Happiness (CCH) orphanages in Cambodia by once again running a Food For Thought sponsored challenge. The money will help to further develop and maintain the orphanage school. This links directly with our school focus on Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of The Child:

UNCROC Article 28:
Every child has the right to a good quality education and should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level they can.

All the money raised will go directly to the orphanage and we will be able to receive photos and updates of how the money is being used.

The challenge for our children is to eat the same meals as the children in the orphanage for one whole day. Money will be raised through the children gathering sponsors from family and friends and by donations.

Fun For Thought

Also this year, June Fallen and her son Oliver from room 5 are organising a
Family fun-d-raiser called Fun for Thought
This will run from 1-3pm on Sunday 8th June at Branford Park (on Maitia Valley Road) by the climbing frame. There will be back yard cricket, face painting, a bouncy castle, a paper plane making competition, egg and spoon races, swing ball, tug of peace, bottle rocket launchers as well as a lemonade stall, goodies for sale and other activities and games. Please come along for some fun and show your support.
